Dr. Kayla R. Brouse

Dr. Kayla R. Brouse is an Associate Veterinarian with a warm heart and a passion for animals. She earned her veterinary degree from Midwestern University in Arizona and holds an undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Bucknell University. Dr. Brouse is particularly drawn to soft tissue surgery, preventative care, and providing compassionate end-of-life (hospice) care for pets. What she cherishes most about her work is fostering the special bond between humans and animals and building strong relationships with her clients. She is a dedicated member of the AVMA and PVMA. Looking ahead, Dr. Brouse aspires to be a valuable and contributing member of the team at BMVH. When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Brouse loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys unwinding with jigsaw puzzles, getting lost in a good book, and cozying up to watch TV and movies. Of course, her favorite pastime is snuggling with her three beloved cats: Cheeto, Tucker, and Pascal.

Rachel Macking

Rachel Macking is a dedicated Veterinary Technician with three years of full-time experience in the field. She has been with the practice off and on for 19 years, earning her CVT and ARDMS credentials along the way. Rachel has a deep passion for veterinary ultrasound and a special interest in anesthetic procedures, surgery, and client education. She thrives in the fast-paced environment of veterinary medicine and finds fulfillment in guiding pet owners through their pets’ healthcare journeys. One of her career goals is to establish a set ultrasound schedule within the practice and to become certified in anesthesia. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find Rachel outdoors or in the kitchen. She enjoys hiking, cooking, running, weightlifting, and yoga. Her home is happily shared with her beloved pets Windsor, Coleman, Birdie, and Bucca.
