Back Mountain Veterinary Hospital in Dallas, PA has a full in-house pharmacy at our disposal. Whether after procedures like orthopedic surgeries, to routine surgery such as spaying and neutering medicine is prescribed to help your pet make a full recovery. We carry a full line of antibiotics, pain medication, joint supplements, thyroid meds, flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, dewormers, insulin, medicated shampoos and eye ointments (just to name a few). We also work closely with several compounding pharmacies to provide our clients with direct access to the medications their pets need.

Compounded medications can be formulated with a wide range of flavors to make them more palatable for pets. We also carry “Pill Wrap” which, unlike many products made to disguise medications, can be used on any size of pill, with no mess or stickiness. We have found it to be flavored to the liking of both cats and dogs. And as we are sure you know, anything that make pilling a cat easier is fantastic.
